Something old and something new

You may remember that one of my resolutions for this year was to sell clothes I don't wear, so on that note I have started to work my way through items that I love but just haven't worn for ages. I've had this denim shirt for a while now. I bought it when a friend and I challenged ourselves to go in to Next and find three things that we would actually wear. We surprised ourselves when we both found more than three things, and ended up buying several of them! This shirt is so versatile. Today I'm wearing it loose, but I've also been known to wear it as a kind of dress with a skinny studded belt around the waist. 

I've been trying to improve the basics section of my wardrobe - I have so many cute patterned tops, but hardly any flattering basic tops - and this ASOS top is just perfect. I also bought it in a kind of pinky nude colour. They are perfect worn by themselves, or under a sheer shirt when I'm not feeling daring enough to show my bra. 

Also, I got a new camera, and I have fallen in love with it! Still getting used to the settings, but hopefully these pictures are far superior to the ones taken with my poor old camera!
